The biggest mistake I've made in 5 years of building my business? Trying to do it alone.
The biggest mistake I've made in 5 years of building my business? Trying to do it alone.
I've set some ambitious goals for 2026. And if I’ve learned anything from the mistakes I’ve made in the last 5 years of building my business, this is the biggest one: I'm not doing this alone.
I have struggled with many of the same things I see in the leaders I work with (surprise surprise). I bought into this idea that I’m supposed to figure it out on my own. That it’s somehow weak to ask for help, or I’m failing if I’m not flying solo.
Well guess what? I’m here to tell you what I’ve learned the hard way: "doing it alone" is bullsh*t.
I can't see my own blind spots. I can't avoid obstacles I can't see. I can't build what I don't know how to build.
And pretending I can figure it all out on my own isn't a show of strength, it’s wasteful and exhausting.
The years I've been most successful? Those are the years I invested in working with people who helped me grow in the ways I actually needed to grow.
So this year I made an effort to be intentional about the support, before Jan 1.
I've already invested in relationships with incredible humans who are going to help me take my life and my business to the next level in 2026.
What are you committing to this year? And more importantly, who do you need to make it happen? 💡
P.S. If you're looking for support to hit your goals in 2026, here's a short list of some amazing humans I have paid and worked with in some capacity in 2025. Check them out, or hit me up if you want an intro. 🤩
