Is December 31 a meaningful threshold or just another day on the calendar?

Here we are on the last day of 2025.

Sometimes I feel like the end of the year is a meaningful milestone worth noticing, thinking about, celebrating. And sometimes I feel like it's just a date on the calendar, and we turn the page to the next day like any other day.

I appreciate the imagery of opening the door to a new chapter. Arbitrary or not, I love the idea of creating a threshold I can walk through - stepping into the possibility and opportunity of a new season.

I've spent some time in the last week looking back at all the things I've accomplished, struggled through, and failed at in the last year. It's been quite a journey. šŸ˜…

While I can't predict what 2026 will hold, I’m thinking about what I want to bring with me into the new year and what I want to leave behind.

Some years I treat December 31 like it matters, and other years I barely notice it's happening.

This year, I'm choosing to treat Dec 31 like a threshold because this opening and opportunity feels useful and inspiring for my life and my business. ā¤ļø

What about you? Is December 31 a meaningful moment for you this year, or just another day on the calendar?
