I've accomplished a lot in my quest to avoid becoming a better salesperson
I've accomplished a lot in my quest to avoid becoming a better salesperson:
* folded laundry
* updated my LinkedIn profile
* talked to my coach about how I need to sell more
* scrolled LinkedIn
* cleaned the cat's litter box
* watched a webinar
* made another cup of tea
* reworked the wording on a sales page (again)
* put away the dishes
* invented a new project to work on with Claudette
I could go on.
Then I picked up "Buyer First" by Carole Mahoney and started doing all the exercises. Turns out reading a book about selling is slightly more effective than cleaning the litter box. Go figure.
Working on shifting my mindset about selling.
Thanks, Carole. Oh, and also selling. 😂
"We try everything but sales. We avoid becoming better salespeople because of our beliefs about and perceptions of what sales and salespeople are."
— Carole Mahoney
What have you done lately to avoid selling?
Image: Kiki judging me, not because I'm not selling, but because I stopped petting him. (Also on the list of things to do instead of selling 😉)
