I worked with Leah Vernon for 60 days on my LinkedIn strategy. She taught me all the good sh*t, gave me "fully moisturized" advice, and assigned homework. π¦ π¨ π¨ π¨ (IYKYK)
I did the homework... sort of.
Look. In our first session, I cried.
Leah pushed me to be more vulnerable, more myself, more honest on LinkedIn. That's exactly what I wanted. That's exactly what I hired her to do.
It's also exactly what I didn't want to do. π¬
So yeah, I listened. She told me to get more vulnerable, more specific, more honest. I nodded my head. I said, "Yes, I will go do that."
And then I did maybe 25% of what she was asking me to do. Because it was uncomfortable. And I didn't want to do it.
For 60 days, I resisted the very thing I paid her to push me on.
Then on day 61, I finally started using her advice.
Impressions up 400%. Members reached up 400%. Week one.
Maybe I should've listened a little sooner? π
What's something you know you need to do but you're resisting because it's uncomfortable?
